Hudson gets life sentence for murder of 4 year old

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

A Sylvester man pleaded guilty to felony murder for the death of a 4 year old Wednesday morning, and has been sentenced to life in prison.

Deivon Lee-Arthur Hudson received the sentence after the June 29, 2012 death of Jullian English in Worth County Superior Court.

The sentencing comes more than one year after Worth County EMS responded to an apartment on North Washington Street in reference to an unresponsive 4 year old boy.

According to a release, the boy was under the supervision of Hudson. The child was taken to Phoebe Worth Hospital in Sylvester where he was pronounced dead.

The body was later taken to Macon for an autopsy, and the cause of death ruled a homicide.

Sylvester Police say Hudson, who was charged with Murder, Felony Murder, and Cruelty to a Child, turned himself in to officers the same day of the murder.
