APPLING CO., GA (WTOC) -

A reactor at a South Georgia nuclear plant is back in service after crews shut it down last week for maintenance.

The Southern Company announced they had shut down unit two at Plant Hatch in Appling County to replace a valve and perform other maintenance. During the shutdown, unit one continued operating normally.
