TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

An Ashburn firefighter is out of jail after he was arrested in Tifton on theft charges.

40-year old Ramiro Conde is accused of taking an iPad that belonged to Greg Boxx, the manager of the Publix in Tifton.

Boxx says he forgot his iPad was in a shopping cart Saturday afternoon. He says surveillance video shows Conde hiding the device at the bottom of the cart behind some water containers.

Conde, who was wearing an Ashburn fire department T-shirt, was identified by a captain with the department. The iPad has been returned to Boxx.
