WORTH CO., GA (WALB) -

The Worth County Commission voted in a called meeting Tuesday afternoon to fire E911 Director Kennetha Clem.

The vote was 3-0 with commissioners Billy McDonald and Bettye Bozeman absent from the called meeting.

The Worth County E911 Director has refused to step down after county leaders requested her resignation late last week.

Commissioner Joe Gaines and Commissioner Mack Sutton told Kennetha Clem they no longer wanted her services because of a personal Facebook post and cited problems with her general attitude.

The Commission also voted to accept the resignation of longtime county attorney Clarence Miller.

Miller submitted his resignation on Monday.

We'll bring you more on the outcome of the meeting later tonight on WALB.
