TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

A corn maze and a pumpkin patch - two staples of Autumn, are set to open to the public in Tifton.

The Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will open its annual pumpkin patch and corn maze venues beginning October 5th.

Visitors can pick out the perfect pumpkin or navigate their way through a winding corn maze.

The patch will be located at the Country Store near the entrance to the Museum, and the maze will be in a new location for 2013, behind the Wesley Chapel in the Historic Village.

The area will also be host to tire swings, seesaws, and a corn box for kids.

The corn maze is cut in the shape of a peanut for 2013, as a nod to one of Georgia's largest commodities. It's host to an educational experience as well, as those finding their way through the maze will encounter kernels of facts about the Georgia peanut industry, and peanut history.

Admission to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village on Tuesday-Friday is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors (age 55 and over), $4 for children 5-16 years of age, and free for children four and under.

Saturday admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (age 55 and over), $5 for children 5-16 years of age, and free for children four and under.

For more information on the pumpkin patch or corn maze, interested people can contact the Museum at (229) 391-5205.
