COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Georgia Supreme Court has made a decision on the punishment for a Columbus man convicted of murder.

The court has upheld Andrew Solomon's murder conviction and life prison sentence.

In 2011, a Muscogee County jury found Solomon guilty for gunning down 17-year-old Levy Daniel at the Booker T. Washington Apartments in September 2010.

Solomon is serving life with the possibility of parole for his charges of murder and 25 additional years for two other charges.

Solomon is eligible for parole after 30 years in prison.
