Car hauler comes apart on Veterans Parkway

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Traffic along Veterans Parkway in Columbus was backed up early Monday when a trailer hauling new cars and trucks came apart.

It happened shortly after nine a.m. in front of the John B. Amos Cancer Center.

Police say the driver from Waggoner's in Columbus was headed north when the cab became separated from the trailer.

Luckily, the load did not shift and no one was hurt.

Another truck was sent to the scene, hooked up and left without incident.
