Valdosta Police look for man's shooter

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police are looking for a gunman who shot a man in a parking lot.

Officials say 29-year-old Edward Mincey of Homerville showed up at South Georgia Medical Center Sunday night around 9:15 PM with a bullet wound.

Witnesses told police Mincey was talking with a group of men in the Park East Apartments parking lot when the shot was fired.

So far, police have made no arrests.

"He was not totally cooperative. He was under some pain medication probably, or starting to go under some medication so we couldn't really talk to him at that point. So were trying to figure out exactly now what happened," said Capt. Bobbi McGraw, VPD.

Police say Mincey remains at South Georgia Medical Center in stable condition. If you have information about the shooting, call Valdosta Police at 229-293-3145.
