ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Mentors of a non-profit organization are teaching kids all about robots.

They're called "100 Black Men of Albany", and Saturday they held a class to teach young people more about robotics and technology.

More than a dozen young people studied different parts of robots, and learned how they're used in the everyday world. This is the third year for the event.

"Probably go to college and learn how to build all kinds of things. Especially things in engineering and technology and later on, you can have a career in it," said Keidon Bryant.

"We have robotics in everything and computer. And it's a great start to get kids using computers and understanding technology," said Michael Harris.

Representatives with the Ronald McDonald Children's Charities presented a check for $5,000 to the non-profit group.
