Rincon Wal-Mart participates in National Seat Check Saturday

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

The Effingham Co. Health Department, in conjunction with the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, the Effingham Co. Sheriff's Office, and Georgia State Patrol Post 42, holds a free child car seat safety inspections from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wal-Mart located at 434 S. Columbia Ave., Rincon GA.

Authorities want to spread the message of the importance of child occupant protection. The event is held on "National Seat Check Saturday," as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Child Passenger Safety Week. 

Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be on site to assist anyone in properly installing their child safety seats as well as answer any questions.
