ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany's second annual Fashion Week kicked off Friday night in Albany downtown.

The theme of this fashion show at the Nelson Tift Building was "Dangerous Curves Ahead." Models strutted down the runway, showing off the latest trends for plus-sized women.

Local designers and vendors were part of the show. Organizers say it's a good way to showcase the talent here in Albany.

"We have so many skillful and talented people right here in the heart of Albany, Georgia and it's so many people who don't know it. So I just wanted to pull them into the spotlight and make it about them." Said Charlie Hill.

More fashion shows are scheduled Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. Mayor Dorothy Hubbard signed a proclamation declaring this Albany Fashion Week.
