Roof caves in on Lakeview Funeral Home

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas business is badly damaged after heavy rain caused its roof to cave in.

Lakeview Funeral Home, in the 5000 block of Harrison Road in Longview, is completely caved in.

No one was hurt, as through a good piece of luck, none of the staff was anywhere near the front of the building when it came down.

Workers here say at the height of the driving rain that water began to accumulate on the roof around the front of the building.

The crushing weight of the water snapped the frame and bricks in the structure's  front, and sent thousands of pounds of debris crashing down.

Luckily, no one was near the front of the building where this happened.
