SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A fugitive sought in connection with a July 16 shooting on Skidaway Road was arrested Thursday night.

Toney Coppock, 23, was arrested Thursday night by the U.S. Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force and Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Downtown Precinct Metro officers. He was arrested during a search being conducted on a home on East Bolton Street.

Police said Coppock was armed at the time and in possession of ammunition and narcotics. He's charged with criminal attempt at murder, aggravated assault and violation of probation in connection with the shooting of Gerald Williams Jr., in the 3100 block of Skidaway Road.

Police said Elaunah Burroughs, 18, was arrested on charges of hindering apprehension and Brittany Coppock, 23, was arrested in connection with a Chatham County Contempt of Court Warrant.
