Second suspect in fatal dispute turns himself in to police

AUSTELL, GA (CBS46) -

On Thursday night a 33-year-old man turned himself in to the Cobb County Police Department for his involvement in a fatal dispute.

Witnesses said Deirdre Smith was trying to break up a fight between two teenage girls when two men, who were arguing nearby, exchanged gunfire.

Smith died from a gunshot wound.

Khalil Kelly, 17, was arrested shortly after the incident and Samuel Blackwell turned himself in to police on Thursday. Both men are charged with murder and aggravated assault.

Smith will be laid to rest on Monday.
