SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Many are mourning an icon in the Savannah religious community.

Rev. Henry R. Delaney died Wednesday night. While he was pastor at St. Paul CME Church, he organized 80 different ministries and founded the St. Paul Academy.

Since retiring Rev. Delaney began the H.R. Delaney Ministries in Thunderbolt.

He is survived by his wife and seven children. The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul CME Church in Savannah.

Delaney as 80 years old.
