SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Dozens of people that live in the Highlands community attended a meeting where Alderman Van Johnson and other city employees presented some projects that are being worked on.

For months, city employees who are part of the Highlands Task Force have been actively working on a variety of issues. Chatham Area Transit was among the issues. CAT will now offer a route to the Highlands community.

Another area of concern was EMS response time. Alderman Johnson said that he would work to try and get that important asset fixed.

Also discussed was the plan for more patrols and more speed signs throughout the neighborhoods.
