HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) -

Fort Stewart will honor five fallen soldiers Thursday during a special Warriors Walk ceremony.

Spc. Nickolas S. Welch, Spc. Nicholas B. Burley, 1st Lt. Jonam Russell, Sgt. Stefan M. Smith and Spc. Rob L. Nichols all died after an enemy forces attack in Afghanistan.

The addition of the five memorial trees for the fallen soldiers will bring the total number of trees on Warriors Walk to 466.

The eastern red bud trees planted on Warriors Walk serve as a living monument to our soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
