ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

We're hearing from Darton State College officials for the first time since the death of a wrestler from heat stroke. Right now college leaders and wrestling team members are making plans to attend the funeral in Florida.

Ben Richards' funeral is now set for this Saturday.

It will be at 11 a.m. at Hillsdale Baptist Church in Tampa. Family members say the 20-year-old was pronounced dead at 5:30 Friday evening at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

He was hospitalized September 4th after he collapsed during a five mile run with teammates.

Darton Athletic Director Mike Keifer says right now the wrestling team is grieving, and trying to cope with Richards' death.

"Its a tough time for the guys and the coaches. They are going through a lot obviously grieving right now, and trying to maintain that support system that they have with each other to be able to move forward," says Athletic Director Mike Keifer.

Keifer says Darton will hold a memorial service in the near future.
