ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Marine Corps Logistics base Albany has released an update on their current security and force protection conditions in the wake of the shooting at the Washington Naval Yard.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the events at the Washington Naval Yard today.

Here, aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, the force protection condition remains unchanged and we are conducting "business as usual." We have standard security measures in place and will continue to conduct identification checks at the gates, as is standard procedure under all circumstances.

The daily safety and security of the base, base personnel and the surrounding community remains a top priority for base officials."
