Pop Warner football made its way to the Albany Marine Logistics Base early Saturday morning.
The team's have been practicing for week's leading into the game. One of the team's is actually operated by the base as well. Officials say hosting the games will be a great teaching opportunity.
"All these beautiful fields here, great place to play sports, great place for young boys, men and women to learn about life lessons on the field," said Col. Don Davis. "It's extremely important especially in a town like Albany or Dougherty County and the larger southwest Georgia area."
The base will continue to look into adding more weekend sports activities in the near future.
