Bainbridge man charged with murder and necrophilia
BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -
A Decatur County man is behind bars, accused of breaking into a woman's home and killing her.
Bainbridge Public Safety officials say Uretha Parks was discovered dead inside her home on Green Street around 7am Saturday. Officials say she died of blunt force trauma.
When authorities arrived they immediately suspected foul play and began their investigation. Hours later they arrested and charged 39 year-old Michael Davis, who is the victim's non-biological grandson. Family members say Davis use to live with Parks.
Davis is charged with murder, burglary and necrophilia. He's being held in the Decatur County jail. We'll hear from the victim's son on WALB NEWS Ten at 11pm.
