Georgia Firefighter's compete in fire drills

After a weeklong Georgia firefighter's conference, they ended the week with a little fun Friday night.

8 teams from across Georgia competed for first place in several categories. The public was invited to watch the friendly competition. Firefighters competed in a fire hose relay and some of the same exercises they use in everyday fire drills.

"It's all about relaxing a little bit and comradery and building the bond that we have to work together and a lot of times on the emergency scene, said James Carswell, Albany Fire Chief.

The last time Albany hosted the firefighter competition was in 1961.
