ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Things are looking good at Radium Springs. The blue hole wasn't much more than a mud hole during years of drought.  Then heavy rain this year brought high water and forced the county to close the botanical garden for a couple of weeks.

Public Works officials say they're glad the park is back open to the public.

"We love that that's what we all of this work and effort is about uh having this place open so that people can come and enjoy what we call one of the seven wonders of south Georgia," said Chuck Mathis, Assistant Public Works Director, Dougherty County Public Works Department.

Radium Springs is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 to 5 and Sunday from 1 to 5. The area is closed Mondays for maintenance.
