A woman who was on her way to the World Trade Center when the first plane struck 12-years ago spoke to kids in Tifton Wednesday.
Honey Brown lived in New York at the time and had an appointment in the north tower that morning. Thankfully, she was running a little late. Brown now lives in Tifton and wants children to know her story.
"9-11 is part of history and since they were like one years old, some of them just being born it's important that they know that I survived it. But is something that will be in the history books," said Honey Brown.
Brown's husband was in the National Guard and helped pull people from the rubble after the attack.
