Water gushes after morning collision

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Two cars collided on East Fourth Avenue and Blaylock Street at 7:35 Wednesday morning.

 A 2004 Ford Crown Victoria was traveling west on East on 3rd Avenue, while a  Mitsubishi Galant, driven by Nazier King Jr., 32, from Albany, was heading north on Blaylock Street, and stuck a water main.

APD says that according to witnesses, the Ford, driven  by Leslie Ann Roberts, 26 from Albany, ran the stop sign and was struck by the Mitsubishi.

The car was occupied by: Charles Roberts 28, Charles Roberts Jr., Destinee Roberts, 5, Acillia Roberts, 7, and Charles Roberts III, age 4.

Roberts was issued citations for Stop Sign violation and three Child Restraint violations. All occupants of the Ford, Roberts family, were transported for treatment. No serious injuries are known at this time.

Water gushed out of the pipe for about 30 minutes until it was shut off.
