WALB GAME OF THE WEEK 9/6/13: Trojans, Indians battle it out

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Both Lee County and Albany enter Friday's contest off big wins last week.

Both teams hope to keep that momentum going tonight when they face off at Hugh Mills.

The Indians are on a short week after beating Greenville High Saturday night, while Lee made quick work of Dougherty in Leesburg.

The Indians turned to Juwon Young on both sides of the ball last week. The Top Ten Teamer rushed for four touchdowns as well as playing linebacker.

The Trojans will try to exploit that though. Trojans' head coach Dean Fabrizio loves to play uptempo, and he hopes to wear Albany down.

Both coaches know the key in this game will be pace.

"We try to play at a really high tempo, and we think that plays to our advantage when other teams are trying to play people both ways," says Fabrizio. "But the big thing is we just have to execute, and do the things that we're supposed to do."

"Once they get going, they're very good," says Albany head coach Felton Williams. "They're a very up-paced team and they like to score real fast and we want to slow them down. The biggest thing going into this game is slowing them down offensively."

The Trojans and Indians square off at Hugh Mills Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
