THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A south Georgia volunteer organization is putting out a call for their largest event of the year.

Hands on Thomas County Day is set for October 19th.

Each year, volunteers lend their time and skills to dozens of area non-profit organizations and community service projects.

"This year is our 10th anniversary so we are looking to make it bigger and better than last year. And last year was our biggest Hands on Thomas County Day ever. We had over 1200 volunteers at more than 48 different project sites," said Executive Director Angela Kiminas.
