Cocaine traffickers convicted

Two South Georgia men are convicted of Conspiracy to distribute millions of dollars in cocaine following a more than three week trial.  One of the men was found not guilty of another charge, and his attorney says the evidence did not justify his guilty verdict.

Nolberto Martinez was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute up to 5 kilos of cocaine in South Georgia.

Bobby "Big Fifty" Taylor was found guilty on the conspiracy charge, but not guilty on a possession charge.

Taylor's attorney says he disagrees with the jury verdict, saying after a five year investigation and three weeks of trial there was little evidence of any crime.

"That involved tons and tons of time, money spent, and investigatory hours.  And I was quite surprised frankly at the lack of evidence as to Bobby Taylor," said Phil Cannon, Taylor's Attorney.

The two men will be sentenced in 40 to 60 days.  Taylor's attorney says he will most like appeal his conviction.
