Man charged with murdering pregnant girlfriend

TERRELL CO., GA (WALB) -

A Terrell County man is arrested in Tift County, charged with murdering his pregnant girlfriend.

GBI agents say a Tift County deputy spotted 26 year-old Charlie Amos Wilson, III in his vehicle Saturday around 2pm. 

Wilson has been charged with one count of murder and one count of feticide.  Agents say he killed 30 year-old Tameda Ferguson.  She was discovered shot to death in her home on Doverel Highway early Thursday.  She was 8 and a half months pregnant.

Wilson was arrested without incident by law enforcement with the Tift County Sheriff's Department.   He's being held at the Tift County jail.
