VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta State University students know more about the community after The Happening brought 200 local vendors to campus.

Hundreds of VSU students went from booth to booth on the front lawn. They got free food and products and enjoyed live music.

VSU hosts the happening each year to let students meet and greet businesses in the community.

"It's like a really big block party, everybody's out here having fun, enjoying themselves. It's really great to see Valdosta has its students first, their interests first and stuff like that," said Freshman Cedric Agupugo.

The career center was also out helping students find jobs.
