ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Another step Tuesday night in the overhaul of Southwest Georgia Regional Airport, now that the new terminal is up and running, city commissioners formally accepted F-A-A grant money to demolish the old terminal.

Mayor Hubbard says airport and city leaders have done a great job overseeing the project.

"They have done an outstanding job of making sure they're on top of funds, and they've been able to get funds, and so that means we have a supplement from splost for our part of it," said Dorothy Hubbard, Mayor of Albany.

The demolition will be the third and final phase of the airport overhaul.
