ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Congressman Barrow shook hands with the job creators of Coffee County today, after first making a stop at WALB's studios this morning for his 'Made in Georgia' tour.
Barrow is traveling to several counties across the 12th Congressional District to visit with a variety of manufacturers and employers.
The tour kicked off Monday, giving citizens the opportunity to present any concerns or questions they may have with Washington.
Barrow says the goal of the tour is to ultimately help the job creators as they are trying to grow the economy.
"Things like the uncertainty with tax policy and the uncertainty with ObamaCare are all creating a lot of problems for them, trying to plan for the future. There's a lot of pent up growth out there that are on hold while we are trying to resolve some of these uncertainties," Barrow said.
Barrow is also encouraging employers to reach out to the bipartisan coalition in congress called the "Problem Solvers," to help find solutions for their concerns.
Barrow will visit and tour businesses in Laurens, Coffee, Effingham, Toombs, Appling, Jeff Davis, Richmond, and Burke Counties.
He will also tour the Port of Savannah and discuss the status of the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project (SHEP) and Gulf Stream Aerospace.
