VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

With information from the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office-

On Sunday evening around 10:15, Lowndes County Sheriff's deputies assisted troopers from the Georgia State Patrol with a traffic stop of vehicle believed to be transporting narcotics. The vehicle was initially stopped by a trooper near the 20 mile marker on the interstate but fled when the trooper and deputies began to approach the vehicle.

Troopers and deputies pursued the vehicle north on the interstate reaching speeds of around 100 MPH, and at one point attempted to ram a GSP cruiser.

Using the PIT maneuver, they managed to get the car stopped near the 30 mile marker,  causing the vehicle to crash.

Adam John Tate, Kenneth Murray Youmans, and Charles David Lynn were all arrested after their car crashed.

Troopers and deputies located all the components and ingredients for a methamphetamine lab which had not yet been assembled.

Kenneth Youmans claimed ownership of the lab components and ingredients. Deputies and troopers also located a small quantity of marijuana, which was claimed by Charles Lynn. Investigators from the Sheriff's Office are continuing this investigation.

All three were transported to the Lowndes County Jail and will soon appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court for an arraignment hearing, where a bond will be considered.
