LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

UPDATE:

A dive team will head back to a Lee County Creek on Sunday to continue their search for a possible human arm.

An area near the Kinchafoonee Creek was blocked off earlier this evening, while the Lee County Fire Department dive team searched for the possible arm.

Authorities say a group of swimmers picked up what they believed to be a human arm, got scared and dropped it.

Investigators are searching the Kinchafoonee Creek after a swimmer says they believe they saw an arm.

The Lee County Sheriff says around 5pm Saturday several people were swimming in the creek when the group spotted the arm and called officials.

The Lee County Fire Department's dive team is on the scene and officials plan on searching for the rest of the evening.
