Boy scout on his way to top rank

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An aspiring Eagle Scout is one step away from his dream. Taylor Richter is a Boy Scout with Troop 15 in Albany. He organized a Family Safety Fair as the last requirement to become an Eagle Scout.

The Albany Fire Department, Dougherty County Sheriff's Office and other safety officials came out to support him as he achieves the highest rank in the Boy Scouts.

"Boy Scouts in general is very good for life and future. I want to be an Eagle Scout because I have respect for the Eagle Scout," said Taylor Richter.

After this project, Taylor will go before a board of review to become an eagle scout.
