HOPKINS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

One person died in a single-car wreck Friday afternoon in Hopkins County.

Multiple agencies responded to Highway 11 East near County Road 2389 in Hopkins County, just after 2PM. The wreck was very close to Como Pickton ISD.

DPS tells KLTV 7 that the car went off the roadway, and struck a tree. Daysha Johnson, 18, of Winnsboro, was taken to Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department confirms two helicopters, two ambulances and three fire departments responded to the wreck.

The sheriff's department believes there were three other people in the vehicle, but cannot confirm any information concerning injuries.
