SUMNER, GA (WALB) -

Not long ago, we told you about a South Georgia man, Eddie Etheridge, who suffers from an incurable lung disease, and is in need of a double-lung transplant.

In efforts to help Etheridge with medical costs and to re-gain his well being, a benefit concert will be taking place.

It's something Etheridge is thankful for.  "It's amazing when they come together and do that for you, so its heart warming, it really is," Etheridge said.

Friends and even strangers have come up to Etheridge to help. But he says it's his wife who goes above and beyond.

"She's been there, she's what keeps me strong... keeps me going."

If you want to help Etheridge the concert is set this Saturday from 3:00 to 7:30 in the evening. There's no cost to attend the concert at 704 Walnut Street in Sumner on the old Sumner High School campus.
