Delmar Graham realized his passion for music in high school. He was the lead singer of an 8 piece show and dance band in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Fast forward several years and taking a different route, Graham retires as a District Manager for a national milk and ice cream distribution company. That was the moment he decided to pack up and head to Southwest Georgia to pursue his dream.

"I get a lot of joy out of bringing happiness even if its just for a few minutes." said Graham

Graham volunteers as an entertainer performing songs or comedy skits at homes of seniors suffering from Alzheimer's disease or who are undergoing rehabilitation. For resident Frances Dunn, Graham gives more than just a laugh.

"He inspires us and blesses us," notes Dunn. "He really does. He sings songs of love and encouragement and at our age that's what we really need."

Some songs hit home, especially for Sally Charman. When asked about her favorite song from Graham she shouted, "GEORGIA!"

Graham says he likes to sing songs from the past such as Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett. He feels that people listening don't have the chance to hear those songs as much anymore. And even though he stops by once a month, it's a visit that Sally looks forward to.

"I'm just so grateful he's willing to give his time to come out and do this. He has a God given talent that he is sharing with us," said Charman. "It makes me happy. It makes me happy. I always feel better after he's been here."

Graham says, "I love God, I love people, I love music and I love entertaining."
