ARABI, GA (WALB) -

One man has been flown to a hospital in Macon after Crisp County officials say a hay roll fell on a man in Arabi Tuesday afternoon.

Crisp County EMS Director David Edwards said it happened around 2:30 p.m. when a hay roll fell off of a trailer and landed on the man, pinning him to the ground.

Officials say people at the scene had to use farm machinery to get the hay roll off the victim, whose identity was not immediately released.

After freeing the man, he complained of severe back pain and was then flown to a trauma center in Macon.

There was no word on his condition.
