It's time to end the illegal dumping of trash and garbage in Albany. This is a crime that costs the taxpayers to clean up, and it's an unnecessary waste of money that could go to schools, or keeping the community safer.
It happens because people are too lazy or too cheap to properly dispose of their unwanted property.
Last week, a woman was charged for dumping nearly a dozen bags of household garbage near some woods behind the old Bob's Candies Plant.
We thank Judy Bowles and Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful for the hard working catching these law breakers.
And we hope they will continue their enforcement efforts.
We also hope all of you will report any illegal dumping activity and help us clean up Albany.
