Armed robbers on the loose in Valdosta

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

The Valdosta Police Department is on the lookout for three men who robbed three people at the Blanton Commons Apartment Complex just after midnight Tuesday night.

The police reports says that Samuel Rashad answered a knock on his door, and three men wearing hoodies demanded his valuables. Two of them had pistols.

Police say the robbers pushed their way inside and stole valuables from VSU student Jae'Sean Sollie and his roommates Rashad Samuel and Brianna Dennis.

Rashad told detectives that the crooks got away with a watch, a bracelet, and three cellular telephones.

"At this time, it's not believed that he was familiar with who they were, and didn't recognize them as knowing them by name. I think he may have thought he's seen one before," said VPD Lt. Aaron Kirk.

No one was physically harmed in the robbery.
