TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A fed-up neighbor helped police bust an underage drinking party that ended with more than a dozen arrests.

One of those arrests was of 23-year-old homeowner Josh Rawlings. Rawlings was taken to jail and hit with six charges, including obstructing official business and permitting drug abuse.

Police say they responded to a home on North Summit for complaints of a loud party with juveniles drinking. When they arrived, police say teens ran from the backyard into the home and hid.

The police had to kick in the door and use pepper balls to get the teens to comply. Once they did, 15 people were arrested, including Rawlings.

"This homeowner is taking an extreme amount of risk when he is offering a place and alcohol for people that are under 21 years of age," said TPD Sgt. Joe Heffernan. "In essence, he's taking on the responsibility himself for what everybody is going to do when they are either at or leaving the party."

Police say the teens ranged in age from 15-19 and they were charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing, and violating curfew.
