Dougherty Co. Schools start new year with lots of changes

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Thousands of Dougherty County students began a new school year Monday.

School officials say despite all the changes this year, the first day went well.

The system was rezoned after three schools were closed. There are also new bus routes which led to a few minor transportation issues. Otherwise, it was a smooth start.
