THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A south Georgia public library is hosting a series of meet-and-greets with 2014 Republican Senatorial Candidates.

The Thomas County Library Flipper Room will host five men and women who hope to succeed outgoing Senator Saxby Chambliss.

The series begins tomorrow night at 6:30 with Congressman Paul Broun from the state's tenth district.

"One of the main reasons for the series of the meet and greets here in Thomasville is for the people in southwest Georgia to get to know the candidates who are running for the U.S. Senate seat which is now being vacated in 2014 by Senator Saxby Chambliss. Southwest Georgia could make the difference on who is going to be the Republican nominee," said Thomas County Republican Party Chair Mike Baugh.

Congressman Phil Gingrey from the eleventh district will speak at the library next Tuesday.
