VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A Valdosta man is in jail after police say they caught him vandalizing two businesses.

Witnesses spotted 30-year-old Travis Miller throwing bricks into several windows at the Valdosta Engineering Department and RCE of Valdosta on Sunday.

He was also seen lighting a fire inside a garbage can. When police arrived, they say Miller began fighting one of the officers.

"I'm not sure the exact reason why he did it, if he's got some type of problems or not, apparently he was just out vandalizing," said Lt. Aaron Kirk, VPD.

Miller is charged with two counts of criminal damage to private property, arson, and obstructing a police officer.
