DETROIT, MI (Toledo News Now) -

Detroit Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta will accept a 50 game suspension from Major League Baseball on Monday, according to a report.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal says Peralta, along with Nelson Cruz of the Texas Rangers, Antonio Bastardo of the Philadelphia Phillies, Jordany Valdespin of the New York Mets and Everth Cabrera of the San Diego Padres, will all accept 50 game suspensions Monday related to their alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs, or PEDs.

The suspensions come after The Miami New Times published documents linking many players to the closed clinic in Coral Gables, Florida in January.

New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez is accepted to receive a 214 game suspension on Monday as well.
