Albany group holds back to school bash

It's the start of the new school year and a group in Albany is making sure students are prepared for the first day of school.

The Viper Unit Motorcycle Club held its 6th annual Back to School Bash Sunday off Rosebrier Avenue in Albany.  Members were giving away school supplies and food, in addition to providing game and activities for the children. More than 400 children showed up to the event.

"It makes the Viper Unit organization feel great being able to give back to the community.  This is just one of the highlight things we do during the year to give back to the community.  And the Viper Unit as a whole, as a team, has a great feeling about doing this for the community," said Marvin Thomas, the Viper Unit Motorcycle Club President.

Organizers say they're already looking forward to next year.
