ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany teen who loves to sing is going to the Big Apple to show the world her talent.

14 year-old Zyan Campbell will show her singing skills at the world famous Apollo Theater in New York. She auditioned in Atlanta a few months ago for the national competition and right away, the judges told her she made it through.

"Most of the people that were going before me they were telling them no, come back again next year and try again. I didn't get to sing the whole song. I think I sung like 8 seconds and they told me to stop and they let me through," said Zyan Campbell.

Zyan says her one of her favorite performers is Michael Jackson. She will perform August 14th during Harlem Week.

If you want to help with Zyan's trip to the Apollo Theater, call 229-255-9229 or 229-439-1990 and ask for Dr. Alegra Jenkins.
