ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An woman is taken to the hospital after crashing her car into a power pole in Albany.

Albany Police say Saturday afternoon 29 year-old Chalene Moten was driving her 1993 Buick Century north on Jefferies Avenue toward Newton Road, when she blacked out.  Authorities say she veered off to the right side of the road and slammed into this power pole.

Moten was taken to the hospital.  A 5 year-old was also in the car, who was not properly restrained.  The child was not seriously injured, but was taken to hospital by a family member.

Moten is being cited with striking a stationary object and child restraint.
