Thousands attend Summer Soulfest


An R&B singer made a stop in Albany Saturday night and drew a huge crowd.

Thousands of music lovers came to the Albany civic center for the Summer Soulfest. Charlie Wilson, was the headliner for the concert. The Whisper, T-K Soul and Donnie Ray also performed. Folks from different generations came together to enjoy the event.

"He's the king of old school. New school is here tonight. We're here to see old school," said Kremease Doran, who grew up listening to Charlie Wilson.

5,000 people were expected to attend the concert.
